Space-based Quiz Competition in Kolkata to Celebrate Chandrayaan-3’s Success
On 23rd August 2023, celebrated as National Space Day, the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) lander ‘Vikram’ from Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed near the Moon’s south pole.
To commemorate this historic achievement and to inspire school students towards science and space exploration, the Grand Finale of “Stellar Space Quiz 2025”, one of India’s largest space-themed inter-school quiz competitions, was held at IIT Kharagpur Research Park, Newtown.
The competition was organized by Edudigm STEMpowered, an initiative by IIT Kharagpur alumni, and witnessed participation from selected top schools across different parts of the country.
Rajiv Agarwal, Founder and CEO of the organization, said:
> “This is India’s first large-scale national school quiz focused on space. Through this initiative, we want the next generation of students to develop a deeper interest in science and technology.
Over Hundreds of schools have already engaged with this quiz. We believe such competitions will serve as a unique platform for future scientists and innovators.”
